
Texas ProStart Invitational
High school students enrolled in the Texas ProStart program compete in either the culinary or restaurant management category at this annual competition each spring.
The 24 winning teams from the regional competitions will compete for the top spots at the state finals. The two winning teams, one culinary and one management, will represent Texas at the National ProStart Invitational.

Only Day two of the competitions is open to the public. There is a $6 per person entry fee. Cash, check and credit card accepted.

#TxProStartPal Contest
New this year! All schools and teams participating in the 2014 Texas ProStart Invitational have received their official competition mascot, the #TxProStartPal. There will be two photo contests through the TRA social media channels November and December 2013. This Spring, the Pals will travel with our teams to competition and cheer them on through a LIVE photo contest.

Rules:
2. Take TONS of photos during competition and post to social media #TXProStartPal. REMEMBER: YOUR PAL CANNOT BE ON YOUR COOKING STATION OR PART OF YOUR PRESENTATION
3. The two pal photos, one culinary, one management, with the most “likes” during each competition (on any TRA social media channel) will WIN! Winners will be announced at the competitions.

Competition Format
Day 1 | 1–5pm
Culinary teams begin competition with Product Check-in. Product will stay at the competition site in a secured, climate-controlled area. Management teams check in display boards and other materials.
Day 2 | All Day
Culinary competition begins. Management teams begin verbal presentations.
Volunteer Opportunities
Anyone can be part of the Texas ProStart Invitational action and witness these terrific students perform their best. We need culinary judges, sanitation judges, restaurant management judges, timers, check-in, scribes, bussers, chicken distribution and more!
